Avon Earthworks was appointed the contract to carry out course repairs and upgrades. The works involved clearing a large section of trees and digging in a new lake. Instillation and re-shaping new greens. All works were carried out while the course was still operating.

Avon Earthworks to develop a block into a new landscape garden. These works entailed a large excavation for the new boundary wall. Some sections were 6-7m below the natural ground. Excavation for retaining walls, removal of 1,500m3 of excess spoil from site loading of materials onto scaffold for trades and shoring and stepping large excavations.

Avon Earthworks are called upon regularly throughout the warmer months to assist with emergency fire response works to clear a path for fire trucks and also to prevent the further spread of the fire.

• Darlington – (DEFS) - Added new and upgraded fire tracks to 14.4km.
• Mahogany Creek – (DEFS) - Added new and upgraded fire & gazetted road/tracks to 11km.
• Mahogany Creek – (DEFS) Added 4x new culvert crossings from 300 Diam to 900mm Diam.
• Helena College – (DEFS) - Upgraded firebreaks to 4m wide by 4m high tracks with a total length of 800m.
• Moola Rd & Glenburn Rd - (DEFS) - Fire track upgrade. Upgraded breaks to 4m x 4m with a total length of 1,200m.
• Coondle East – Coondle Drive – (Works subcontracted from FMS) - Upgraded firebreaks to 4m wide by 4m high tracks with a total length of 3.3km.
• Coondle East – Balgaling Reserve – (Works subcontracted from FMS) - Upgraded firebreaks to 4m wide by 4m high tracks with a total length of 2.9km.
• Sandplain Rd - Upgraded fire tracks and installed 8 x new heave ballast crossings and cut in new access track. Total road/tracks where 2km.
• Pindi Place Toodyay - (Works subcontracted from FMS) - Cleared & upgraded fence line including new fencing – Total length of 1.2km.

Toodyay Treatment Plant
Toodyay Treatment Plant
Avon Earthworks was appointed as subcontractor to WATPAC Civil and mining to carry repair works on the Toodyay treatment plant. The works entailed the removal of the old rubber liner and replace with a new clay bed seal. There was over 27,000 tonne of clay 5,000 tonne of rock and 5,000 tonnes of gravel bought in for the project.

Avon Earthworks was asked to work alongside FMS to build new access tracks in the town of York. The scope entailed clearing of bush land and removing all the low growth to build a new, stronger access road for the machines to get through safely. They carted in all new road base, graded and compacted to meet the shires specification.
